Good Fortunes Coming

After years of collecting fortunes for a photo project, I finally started photographing them yesterday. I've probably been working on this project for 5 years now. Hopefully I am more than halfway through.

The 2010 In Photos Book

This 70+ page photobook from MyPublisher.com is higher quality than I expected. I purchased a book from them in 2008 and it wasn't nearly as nice.

Framed

We didn't actually produce anything of our own this week but we did frame and hang a few works (one of ours and an album cover insert that doubles as my favorite photo of Babyshaker). Framing is a pretty big deal to me. Hanging said frame is the holy grail of unfinished chores around here. We probably have Charlotte's largest collection of unhung art and frames.

A Doll

This was my favorite of the photos I took for ADFA (Academy of Dance and Fine Arts) to promote their 2010 performance of the Nutcracker. The photo was an outtake. it wasn't suitable for their purposes but I think she looks like she was straight out of a classic painting, so I worked it over in Photoshop a bit.

2 Natural Light Headshots

These 2 headshots were my first attempts at using my new Nikon 50mm f/1.4 G lens for portraits, so I used natural light only. The rest of the session was lit with speedlights for Mena's Thai Yoga business.
